Whistling Hill is a small farm in the Eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Named for the strong winds that whistle over it’s rolling hills, our farm is nestled right in the foot hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a stone’s throw from the Shenandoah River. We specialize in raising sheep, goats and laying hens on our lush green pastures. Our farm’s mission is to raise high quality, low volume meat and eggs. Our animals are free to roam our fertile fields and eat a fresh, natural diet. They have run-in access to the barn, but are rarely confined. The animals mostly forage for fresh food and are not fed hormones or antibiotics. Their diet is supplemented with treats from our yard and large garden. We believe that keeping our quantity small is key to ensuring that our quality is high, by utilizing holistic farming methods to reduce stress and improve quality of life in each animal.

We currently have lamb and eggs for sale. We are selling at the Charles Town Farmer’s Market that begins April 13th and is held each Saturday thereafter. Hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, the market is held in downtown Charles Town. We also are able to provide pick-up sales, arranged in advance.
